Jake Michael Singer is a South African artist born in 1991 in Johannesburg. He is a transdisciplinary artist who combines sculpture, photography, and painting, with a focus on materiality, myth, and catharsis. Singer's work often involves large-scale, site-specific installations in historically significant structures. His sculpture series, "Murmurations," is a continuously expanding collection that explores themes of freedom, security, and collective humanity. Singer's art has been shown in major art fairs globally, held solo shows in Europe, America, and Africa, and is represented in collections both locally and abroad. He has been recognized by the Eduardo Villa Foundation Grant and has completed residencies in various cities, including Istanbul, Amsterdam, Kampala, and Cologne.
